Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) involves breathing oxygen in a pressurized chamber in which the atmospheric pressure is raised up to three times higher than the normal air we breathe every day. This increase in pressure allows for more oxygen molecules to be dissolved into the blood. This exponentially increases oxygen delivery throughout the whole body to every cell, tissue and organ expediting healing and improving function. Oxygen is a key element in reducing inflammation from any kind of injury or disease. The better you can deliver oxygen to injured tissues of the body, the more effective and faster healing will be.

This therapy is a great complement to medical treatments including recovery from surgery and cosmetic procedures. During a typical treatment the patient lays down and is asked to breath normally for 60-90 minutes.Treatments are easy and can be quite relaxing. Uses of this treatment include the following: support of Cardiovascular/pulmonary/ neurological disease, Autoimmune disease, Arthritis, Diabetes, Cancer, Autism, Stroke, traumatic brain injury/Concussion, recovery from surgery/cosmetic procedures, and wound healing (especially related to diabetes & radiation injury).

Call us to schedule a complimentary consultation to determine if you are a candidate for Spinal Decompression and our multi-step Protocol. The doctor will ask you a series of questions such as “Where is the pain, when did it begin, what makes it better or worse?” Then a thorough examination will be performed in which case the doctor will check your reflexes, blood pressure, balance, gait, skin, sensory changes, muscle strength and more to determine the cause of your back or neck pain. At this point the doctor may recommend x-rays or an MRI, if he feels like further imaging would be necessary to determine the exact cause. After combining all of this information together, the doctor will determine if you would make a good candidate for spinal decompression therapy and our multi-step Protocol. If you do qualify for care, your Doctor will explain the recommended plan of action for you. If for some reason you do not qualify for care, the doctor will refer you to someone who may better suit your needs.
